TAKEMARA - Platinum Champion
Following a loss to Asama Inoue at On Location
in January, the would-be Grand Champion Naja Takemara was
both seeking revenge on Inoue, and a way onto the lineup of
Cornerstone Revolution III. His answer? To challenge The Rat
for the DCWL Platinum Championship, in a triple threat match
also involving Inoue. An assist from The Rat's long-time rival,
Alexander Hawkins, allowed Takemara to apply his patented
submission hold, The Rising Sun, on Inoue. Moments later,
Naja had accomplished both of his goals - vanquishing his
nemesis with a submission victory, and earning himself a one-way
ticket to Cornerstone Revolution.
At the Supercard Extravaganza, Takemara faced his first serious
challenge, in the form of Curt Olsen, the self-proclaimed
"Saviour of the DCWL". As the two men battled to
a 30-minute time limit draw, Naja Takemara retained the Platinum
Championship, and arguably stole the the biggest show of the
year in the process.
Having now surpassed his fourth month
as Champion, Takemara is experiencing a career rennaisance,
while closing in on The Rat's record-setting title reign.
Clearly, Naja is looking to extend this recent success at
August's Supecard Extravaganza, Demented Quest IV, as
he attempts to become the only wrestler in DCWL history to
claim victory in both the Apocalypse Match and Demented Quest
Tournament!

THE
QUEST BEGINS
On
August 26th, 2006, the original DCWL Supercard Extravaganza
returns to life, for the fourth annual Demented Quest offering.
One year ago, Haplo the Vagabond won the yearly tournament
to claim the vacant Grand Championship. Since then, Haplo
laid claim to the longest Championship reign in DCWL history,
before being dethroned by Jackson Hunter, and then retired
by Noah Prejudice. Mere days before eclipsing Haplo's reign,
Hunter was taken down by Prejudice, and for the first time
ever, the DCWL Grand Champion is actually a participant in
the Demented Quest tournament.
Meanwhile,
the campaign towards the Commissionership Election hit a fever
pitch, with the two leading candidates contributing high stakes
for the tournament, in a severe case of oneupmanship. The
incumbant, JT Damon, announced that the winner of the tournament
would be declared the Duke of Dementia, and would immediately
be positioned in the main event of the following Supercard,
Winter Plunderland, to challenge the
DCWL Grand Champion. Not to be outdone, Henry Spikes announced
that due to an anonymous donation, the winner of the tournament
would receive a cash prize of $500,000.00! Without question,
these dangling carrots have created the most intriguing Demented
Quest tournament ever!
Also
on the card, Celestial Warrior challenges Maul for the DCWL
Plunderweight Championship, in a Falls Count Anywhere Grudge
Match. With a rich history between them, an emotionally-charged
war is sure to erupt! In addition, Da Ace Killas will face
off against Team Sammich
in what may be the most strange Supercard contest in DCWL
history - a Seven Sammiches of Doom Match!
